Font - emergency. I have nothing to hide from my S.O. and have the freedom to do what I want in my marriage. I think anyone uncomfortable with this either has something they need to hide, or they do not have freedom in their relationship.

Font - Posted by u/Sloppyjoemess 5 days ago Some retail workers are so lazy and stupid that they deserve to get Karened When I worked in retail I didn't understand why customers were so hostile to employees. This is why!
  • 04
Font - I will preface this by saying I have worked in busy retail stores for 6 years of my life. I know retail attracts many types of people from diverse backgrounds due to the nature and availability of the jobs. Many of them try very hard to be helpful and productive members of society.

Font - But there are a good amount who are just there to collect a paycheck and go home. I respect that to some extent too. But a job is WORK..... I was at a big box retailer and requested a larger size from the back. The college kid helping me went back to go get it, then came

Font - back 10 minutes later. I asked him where the shoes were and he "forgot." Asked him again to get them. Another 10 minutes, comes back and says "I can't really get over to them right now. You should come back another day."

Font - Like I should really have to waste another afternoon coming 10 miles to this dumb store? I made the kid get his manager to access the shoes with a key and had them in my hand 30 SECONDS later. He may as well have told me to f- off, or just let go get them myself.

Font - as If you start a "pay it forward" chain at a drive thru, you're not "doing an act of kindness" you're being an because you could be putting people behind you in an awkward financial position. Nothing like pulling up and ordering some 1 dollar menu items and the fast food worker saying your order got paid for by the car in front would you like

Font - to pay for the person behind you, only to find out their order is like 40 dollars. F that, I just wanted my 2 dollar burritos, I'm not paying 40 bucks for the family of 12 in the van behind me. Now I'm the al for

Font - being put in that awkward position and having to "break the chain"? No, and it wouldn't be an issue if you just pay for your order and let me pay for mine.

Font - Posted by u/PerpetuallyStartled 5 days ago Being a streamer/youtuber/influencer is a terrible career choice even if you succeed at it. Even if you were to succeed, which is very unlikely, there is a VERY high probability your 'career' will still fail. There have been

Font - multitudes of people who were 'big' 10 years ago only for their viewership to slowly evaporate and that's the best outcome possible, there are almost no long term successes. The worst part of this problem is if they return to 'normal' work, they are now very behind in their career development.

Font - People spend decades building the skills they need to have a high paying job in their 40s-50s, what jobs are there for the skills of a former streamer? I'd say almost none, or at least none that pay well.

Font - Posted by u/doesthissuck 2 days ago It's okay to occasionally use your spouse's toothbrush You're married. You share pretty much everything. You eat after them, you have probably licked their teeth at some point. You've been everywhere with this person and you're afraid to

Font - use their toothbrush, it's a little nuts. I realize kissing and brushing your teeth are different things but this can't be where we draw the line. I mean what's grosser, tongue or teeth? Plus you rinse off the brush when you're done and the bristles are antibacterial.

Font - everyone is out and about late into the night. You wake up feeling refreshed after having slept enough, start work after brunch - what's the problem with this? Starting work at 9 AM is just catering to morning people which isn't most of us? Sick of it.

Font - have a house. Obviously that is just wrong. However, not buying drinks in general (coffee, a soda, lemonade, tea, etc.) could get you started in retirement savings or a small vacation.
    via u/Its_a_username4
  • 21
Font - For example, conservatively assuming someone spends $15/week on coffee $10/week on alcohol $5/week on other drinks That is $30/week or $1560 per year which could get you a vacation for a week someone.

  • 22
Font - Also, this number would obviously change depending on many factors but it might be a fair average. (Allegedly yahoo finance puts average of $1100/year in coffee alone) If that same money was put into retirement in 30 years it would be worth $163,000 assuming 8% market.

Font - So even though choosing not to buy drinks won't get you a house it can help with some smaller items in life. I'm not saying people need to not buy drinks anymore. If that brings them joy, they can spend their money on that. But if they really want a vacation or to start saving for retirement, then stopping beverages could help.
